Deepen your expertise in trauma treatment with this advanced certification course led by Dr. Robert Rhoton, PsyD, LPC, F.A.A.E.T.S. Grounded in neuroscience, salutogenesis, and the NeuroAffective Coherence (NAC) model, this training equips you with reliable, science-based strategies to address the complex realities of PTSD and trauma-related disorders.

Explore the biological and psychological roots of trauma and gain practical tools to help clients navigate intense symptoms such as powerful abreactions and flashbacks, shutdown states resembling severe depression, chronic avoidance, dissociation, and relational disruptions. Through a blend of established research findings and clinically proven interventions, you will learn to build client strengths, foster self-regulation, and promote coherence even in cases involving cumulative toxic stress and complex trauma histories.

  • Explain how chronic threat exposure shapes Complex Trauma symptoms.

  • Identify how attachment trauma and ACEs contribute to Complex Trauma and recovery.

  • Understand dissociation and extreme symptoms as trauma adaptations, not personality disorders.

  • Use neuroplasticity, threat response, and ANS regulation principles in care.

I am an experience trauma therapist yet I still find there's a lot to learn here because the trainer made it more understandable in a layman terms.

While our process for issuing certificates of completion may change in the future, we are committed to ensuring you receive your certificate promptly.
