This training was a good refresher and teacher for old and new information. I felt that the theoretical was paired well with practical exercises and case studies.

Most approaches miss the connection between trauma, addiction, and the nervous system

When trauma and addiction are treated separately, behavior can feel unpredictable and difficult to treat. Understanding the nervous system helps make sense of what is happening and how to respond.

✔ Do you feel stuck with trauma and addiction cases that do not seem to improve?
✔ Are you unsure how to respond when clients return to use?
✔ Have you questioned if your approach is truly helping?

These experiences are more common than they are often talked about.

In many settings, trauma and addiction are treated separately.
The focus stays on symptoms rather than what is driving behavior.

You may be noticing:

  • Clients cycle through progress and return to use
  • Engagement feels inconsistent or hard to sustain
  • Ongoing uncertainty in clinical direction
  • Emotional weight that extends beyond the workday

What is often missing is a clear, cohesive way to understand what is happening.

A way to see how trauma and addiction are connected, not separate.

An asset-focused, integrated framework helps make sense of TraumAddiction™, bringing clarity to what is driving behavior and how to respond.

✔ Understand behavior through a nervous system lens
✔ Build trust and strengthen client engagement
✔ Respond with greater clarity and consistency
✔ Support lasting, meaningful change

A more grounded way to approach complex cases.
And a clearer path forward in the work.
